'All the Ladies Say' opens in UK

The first UK screening of legendary US bgirl Rokafella's documentary, 'All The Ladies Say' is showing this Saturday, April 3rd (11am) at the Southbank Centre in London. The documentary highlights the lives of six iconic female street dancers from San Jose, Atlanta, Miami and Chicago, who have carved a niche in the physically challenging, male dominated breakdance world. The screening is followed by Q&A session with Director Rokafella (NYC) and featured bgirl Vendetta (Atlanta). They showed it at B-Girl Be and it was off the hook!

Southbank Centre is the largest single-run arts centre in the world and includes Royal Festival Hall, Hayward Gallery, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Purcell Room, Poetry Library and 21 acres of creative arts. Go check it out!

P.S. -Spoiler alert: They're all sneakerheads =)

Blank Canvas Customization event feat FSF's own Fetti D'Biasi

Come see our girl Fetti paint live at Footaction tomorrow between 4-6. Those who attend will have a chance to win one of her custom masterpieces (customized specifically for the winner) in a raffle at the end of the event. DJ ProStyle of Power 105.1 will be on the 1's and 2's. All this awesomeness is a good reason to come through!

Miami Photoshoot Footage!

Charissa (aka CMS, on left) and Jen Jen were phenomenal hosts! They even let Amanda pretend to own a mess of kicks =) (see below) But most of all, they let us stay with them, showed us a great time, drove us to all the shoots, and really made us feel at home. We almost didn't leave!

Amanda posing as a killer collector...

Snkrgoddess with about half her kicks! Okay, this girl is for real!

Check out Charissa's kicks, toys and vintage coolness... (click on image to enlarge)

Umm, Mazi, this isn't your shoot!

The real Charissa...

Getting ready for Jen Jen's shoot...and this isn't all her kicks...

She was nice enough to open a LOT of boxes...Amanda's real pics are off the hook!

Lala at Miami Beach--who knew there were 2 Lala's who loved kicks, and who were both near Miami's Nikki Beach at the same time? We almost missed our shoot after the other one told us she was wearing high heels not kicks. Good thing we got it straight, cuz this one was ready to go with beautiful art and a whole family supporting her!

It was Amanda's favorite place to shoot, too! We almost lost her to the beach....

Relz and Chef, co-owners of randumbmiami.com, did their shoot together at one of the Art Basil walls in the Winwood Art district.

Chef, CMS, Lori and Relz at the dunkxchange!

Gary running the raffles. "Who founded FSF?" was a hard one for a few of the guys...

Thanks to everyone who participated, and sorry to a few girls who we missed!

Toronto travels...

In Canada for work, I caught up with our blogger Loni, so she could show me around. Who knew the last Good Foot had just closed their doors weeks earlier? And they aren't the only ones... seems that sneaker boutiques in the TO have fallen on hard times, with the noted exception of Livestock, which is alive and well! And so is Loni, who just moved to Toronto but who is also doing some traveling around the U.S. for her own book about positive hip hop. Keep an eye out for this up and coming female hip hop photographer!

Cloud 10 Status: Wood Shock Watches

G-Shock has been holding down the mid-range watch game for a long-time. As I sit here and type this blog I am rocking my own G-Shock with pride (there is a long story about how I came into owning this piece but that's neither here nor there) and glad to write this post. I must state that these watches are not G-Shock released products. The Wood Shock (W-Shock) are a joint collaboration between PRPLMNT and Saint48 to introduce use to these wood bezel watches. They come in red and black while delivering a nice alternative to those metal/rubber based watches we are used to seeing.

Cloud 10 Status: Shades of Greige 3 Button Brit Hoodie

Shades of Greige is a brand I have never blogged about before but it seems like today they have earned their spot handily with this awesome 3 Button Brit Hoodie. This is definitely a good look for the mild spring months coming up and frankly, just a nice lounge around piece. The Brit Hoodie is available in 2 different colors and features 100% Cotton with a 3-button closure at contrast placket. Flap pocket at the lower bottom of the hoodie and tie at the bottom hem.

A definite MUST HAVE! In the mundane zip up or pullover hoodie market I like the detail and new vibe I get from this one.

The Sartorialist Files: Sak for Converse

The Sak by Converse are pretty fly! I must say as a man who never fucked with Converse until 4 years ago (now I own about 5 pairs of Converse or Converse style shoes) I wasn't convinced about the shape of the shoe at first but now I usually opt for the special edition Chucks. Anyway these bad boys right here by Italian-trained designer Ryusaku Hiruma are hand-made and no detail is left unattended. The shoe features a hand-stitched body, perforated Converse logo on the side of the sneaker, changeable laces and leather soles. The packaging is even cooler with the shoe showing its fine craftsmanship in all its Chuck Taylor glory. If you want a pair you better act quick since there only 64 pairs being produced worldwide. The sneakers are available in milk and black!!

Cloud 10's 'The Ridiculously Opulent': Balmain Slashed Army T-shirt

When I tell yall the price of this unfortunate, dusty, neglected excuse of a shirt you're going to sign off of my blog and drop a couple expletives. Yes Balmain (the notoriously pricey French fashion house) thought it was good to take a shirt and add some holes, slash marks, run it through the dirt and slap a Balmain tag on the collar and charge RIDICULOUSLY OPULENT prices. I don't mind shit being expensive if it looks like an exquisite, quality piece of merchandise that reflects the craftsmenship. This shit just looks like Edward Scissors hand had a nightmare in his sleep and went bananas on it.

The shirt is priced at wait for it.....1,625.00 O_x... and no that is not Rupees or Jamaican Dollars either. That is as American of a price as it could get. I mean FOR REAL though Balmain 1600 bones for a shirt that looks like the rags I wash my momma's car with? Now if you would like to purchase this shirt I can provide you with an exact replic made by the LV Collective I even have some drawers with lots of holes and rips for sale....

Cloud 10's New Music Video Spot: Erykah Badu - Window Seat

Sooo I know this is a typical male statement and I am just being ORDINARY but damn it I have to point it out. Erkyah Badu got booty on top of booty and she A BAD BISH!! It is safe to understand why she had dudes like Common and Andre 3000 wearing Uggs, hemp pants, see-through shirts with garbadine jackets. That body is like just the definition of GOOD GOOGLY MOOGLY. Erykah always had something mysteriously sexy about her. She was always that chick that marched to the beat of her own drum and kept us fellas guessing. Yeah she has some freak in her but she keeps it under her carefully stacked wigs or hair wraps and boundless amounts of clothes. This is the most I've seen of THE REAL Erykah and I am IMPRESSED.

Filmed in downtown Dallas, the video was shot guerrilla-style with no crew, no closed set and completed in a single take
. The video is clearly laced with a ton of politically and socially relevant messages such as nudity, censorship, exhibitionism, societal norms, individual vs. collectivist attitudes. I heard that the video was shot on the same street that JFK was assassinated. Listen to the message at the beginning and the end (HOLDS UP FIST).

Look out for Erykah's New album "New Amerykah Part 2 (Return of the Ankh" dropping March 31st, 2010.

YOUR THOUGHTS??

Wayne, NJ HoH Opening

To quote Jay Z "Cough up a lung... where I'm from?...ain't nothin' nice." 973 ALL DAY...NJ Fee!

Jersey has a long legacy of quality ballers from the likes of Shaquille O'Neal (born in Newark) to current WNBA up and comer Essence Carson (Paterson's own).

A Foot Locker employee rocks the Nike KD2 Away (Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder-NBA) for the opening.
Better picture of her shoes. Says they are easy to rock and comfy for work
