Tyguns v Tyguns

Black versus the rather rare red version.

I have both in my collection, of course ;-)

Surplus Dope Stuff

Wayne State University's Publication,The South End News, featured Pompous Apparel in their Arts & Entertainment section. Although there are a few misconceptions..
Pompous Apparel is NOT a "hip-hop clothing line". If you must label it, label it "Streetwear". But we would prefer if you'd just refer to it as exactly what it is, Pompous apparel.

and misquotations ..

Our logo, Snuff (the big, good-looking pink fellow above in banner), is a metaphor for the obvious that goes unaddressed. The obvious (individualism, boundless confidence and limited inhibiton) & the reality that it makes those of a more timid persona so uncomfortable that they dare to address you.

we are overly appreciative of the support.

Ha. Look at the guy on your far left. I would [insert] a questionable dialogue, but it's apparent.

Surplus Dope Stuff

So here's the thing.
There's this guy named Greg Jennings. Good Guy. He's from Kalamazoo, MI and he plays as a wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers now. He was drafted in the second round, 52nd pick, in the 2006 NFL draft. In that time he's earned 22 touchdowns, 2,609 receiving yards, and 162 receptions. In high school he was a tri-athlete, earning all conference titles in football, basketball, and track. In football, he played four different positions as a a three-time letterman and was listed 11th on the "Fab 50" Rankings for the Detroit Free Press as a senior and was voted seventh in the running for Mr. Basketball of Michigan--he is a very talented athlete needless to say.

Once he got to college, Western Michigan, he finished his football career with 238 receptions for 3539 receiving yards and 39 touchdowns. He became the 11th player to gain over 1,000 yards three times in a college career.

Impressed Yet?

How about this. He's just your regular good guy. Ladies, he married his high school sweetheart in 2005.. I guess chivalry isn't completely dead. Together they have a one year old daughter and he still goes back to Kalamazoo to visit his family and friends that supported him his whole career. As a matter of fact, the mayor of Kalamazoo recently announced that December 2nd is Greg Jennings Day. A whole day! That's love. He's just an all around decent guy.

So, let's help this all around decent guy. We gotta send him to the Pro-Bowl. With 10,000 votes we can help him get there. I know this sounds like a bad infomercial script but let's help this brother out. All you have to do it go to this site and select his name under the NFC WIDE RECEIVERS ballot. You can vote as many times a day as you want but voting ends December 9th. So yeah, let's help him out.

Shoe Review - White Feiyue

Well at last I am now the proud owner - and wearer - of these awesome martial arts shoes and I am now an official Feiyues nut! I think they could one day be as big as Chuck Taylors. They're that good. Have a closer look, guys:

There are several remarkable things to note about these great sneakers.

1. The squared toecaps, extending along way down each side of the shoe, very much encasing the lacing. Highly distinctive and original, in my opinion:

2. The very rounded sole unit. Designed to give maximum grip and traction even when the ankle is flexed to extreme angles during combat. This makes the shoes feel as though they rock a little from side to side during wear, but the feeling of grip is also very strong:

3. The very sticky rubber sole unit, again for maximum grip and traction:

STOP PRESS: Black Feiyue shoes now on order. Photos and review soon!
