The Sartorialist Files: Chambray

Some of you may be wondering what is Chambray exactly?  Chambray is just a fancy name for denim (shirts/jackets) but it has positioned itself as the 'IT' fabric of 2010.  I was never a true believer in denim outside of jeans, but today I watched the episode of Oprah that featured Will Smith and his family and Will wore a cool, crisp khaki suit with a chambray shirt (thanks Hide) and black skinny tie and tie clip.  Can I get a DYLAN anyone?  That whole look paired with some black winged-tip shoes was just a winner.  So I thought it only fair to introduce you guys to the chambray trend!

Check after the Jump to see what the fuss is all about!!

Chambray is a fabric that in shirt form can border the line between fashion pause and fashion forward.  The way Will incorporated it into a nice summer formal look worked really well.  Here are some of my picks for dope Chambray shirts.  If you got the eye you too can pull it off effortlessly and incorporate it into your wardrobe.
