Cloud 10 Status: Paul Smith 'Cloud' Sneakers

How could I pass up an opportunity to feature these 'Cloud' (SHOUT OUT TO CLOUD 10) sneakers by British designer Paul Smith?? With an obvious nod to the DYLANEST blog on the planet Paul Smith has definitely given us a nice pair of sneakers with his quirky design sense strewn throughout.

"The Cloud is a very light canvas sneaker finished with contrast eyelets and the Paul Smith signature spread across the back of the vulcanized sole. The colorful print insoles and multi stripe webbing at the heels make it look like there’s a rainbow over these clouds…”

NYC Sneaker Love - Part 2 of 3

While I was in NYC, I stopped in at the world’s largest Foot Locker: Times Square. I'd never planned on copping any Lebrons but when I walked through the doors, headed down the wall on the right and saw the Nike Air Max LeBron VII Think Pink in the Black and Pink Fire colourway, I was sold! Only available in GS size...how stoked am I to fit into a 6?? In contrast with black, the pink looks hot and not as girly as say, baby pink. I went through a period of being a majah pink-sneaker-hater but have come around to it lately.

Shout-outs to Mike who helped me out! I met a few more staff and they were all mad nice and helpful.

I even got my 90’s throwback game up and picked up a pair of purple slouch socks. I haven’t seen them in the Toronto Foot Lockers yet. As much as I love New York, it’s a good thing I don’t live there. I’d be dead broke. Buuuuuut....my kicks game would be vicious! 

If you're feelin these and don't have em by now, stop by Foot Locker Times Square and get yours for 100 bills. Ask for Mike!

Sigh, here we go again, big named designers like Christian Louboutin (stepping out of their lane CHRISTIAN you kill it with the ladies shoes stick to that shit) slapping their name on some shoes, charging an arm, legs and eye for a pair and thinking we're just going to gobble it up because of the name.  The French designer is not shy of using exotic leathers, horse hair, zebra patterns and of course a lot of studs. 

Honestly I don't like any of em!!  What do you guys think?  Are you digging any of these?  Would you rock them?  These get a big H-E-DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS to the NAW ole Tacky ass shit...

No you are not looking at the local neighborhood crackhead/AIDS patient you are indeed staring at an emaciated Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson who lost a huge portion of his weight for his part in the movie "Things Fall Apart" where he plays a cancer stricken football player.

I gotta give Fif credit where credit is due, movie roles require a lot of sacrifice and losing weight is nothing new.  I remember when Christian Bale starred in 'The Machinist' he also presented himself in a very malnourished form also.  He said he achieved the dramatic weight loss via a liquid diet and a daily regimen that included three-hour treadmill sessions.

Have no fear though 50 is back in fighting form, he's been eating and working out as he prepares for his new tour!

Cloud 10's New Artist Spotlight: Yelawolf

Who is Yelawolf (@YelaWolf) you may ask? Well this young rapper hailing all the way from Alabama is about to make some serious noise on the music scene.  Before you start comparing dude to Eminem or Bubba Sparxx one listen to his album and you can hear that although he might be white he has a distinct style that has been bred by his Southern roots.

"Born Michael Wayne Atha to a single mother in Gadsden, Alabama - Yelawolf would find the word “home” used loosely over pretty much his entire pre-adolescent and teenage years. Holding down residence in Baton Rouge, Franklin, TN, Nashville, Atlanta and hometown Gadsden of course would be expected for a military brat, but he wasn’t. In fairness… some good came out of his nomadic upbringing because the love for Hip-Hop grew while living in Antioch, TN starting around 93’. The suburban neighbor on the outskirts of Nashville ushered a young Yelawolf a wide view to street life and an appreciation to Hip-Hop courtesy of artists like Snoop Dogg, Three 6 Mafia, N.W.A., IceCube, Souls of Mischief, Digable Planets, UGK, Skinny Pimp, Nappyhead and Goldteeth along with local artists like Southside Hustler and Haystack. “Antioch is where Hip-Hop really became real to me, that’s where I started writing raps. It was like… I already knew about Hip-Hop, but I really didn’t jump head in first until I moved there.” There’s no denying that living in Music City and its following neighborhoods helped give him his creative spirit. “I actually got suspended for my first rap there too. I was going to this school called Carter Lawrence in downtown Nashville. “I started writing this one particular rap and my boy was like ‘let me get a copy of that’ and I was in the principal’s office making copies… please don’t ask me why, but I wanted to give people a copy. While I was in the office the principle was like let me see that and he snatched it up and it was a bunch of profanity in it because I was just basically at that point obviously emulating all of my favorite rappers, so he suspended me and called my mom to come and get me."


Believe me when I say this dude is NICE on the mic and will be making some SERIOUS noise soon!!  He has already secured a record deal on Columbia in conjunction with Gheto-Vision Entertainment and has received endorsement by some Hip Hop heavyweights.  Big ups to Yela!!
