Cloud 10's Think Tank (SOUND OFF) Body Slammed Bully Speaks Out!

Guess you met your match huh??

Remember that YouTube video that went viral of the bully standing up to the little kid with Napolean Syndrome?  Well he's speaking out and he doesn't sound very remorseful, in fact, little Richard Gale is defending his actions claiming he was bullied too.  The way that Richard got acquainted with that ground I doubt he will ever pick on someone bigger than him ever AGAIN! Casey made everyone GASP, Richard's attempt to get up was futile as his legs seemed to forget their function - STAGGERLY.

I am in no way condoning or encouraging violence at all, because Casey could have seriously hurt Richard.  In this situation Richard and Casey were wrong and should have realized that if you are bullied you report it to a teacher/principal/parent.  The Bystander Effect was so real in this video and it is a common occurrence in bullying situations.  Kids stood around cheering, hooting and howling and even recording the video which they intended to 'cyber'.  I can not sit here and admonish Casey for fighting back, yes he is 16 but he was provoked.  The victim becoming the bully scenario (reverse bullyism where the bullied becomes a quasi-bully) only works in the movies, in many cases, people attack when provoked.  If Richard was indeed bullied or picked on, he unfortunately learned this the hard way (ALL PUN INTENDED).

Schools need to take a bigger stance in acting as allies for children that are being bullied.  Time after time it is being reported that when children do inform their parents the schools do nothing and the bullying continues until sometimes a child commits suicide or worse a situation like Columbine.  This video was a real eye-opener and I hope you looked past the novelty and thought about the real implications for people like Richard and Casey around the world.

Cloud 10's Think Tank (SOUND OFF) Confessions from a Strip.....Club

You Mad Huh?? -drops a single dollar-

Yes ladies and gents, an upstanding soldier of King Jesus (read: God is currently working on upgrading me still and he's not done as yet) like myself on occasion (read: once in a while) will patron a tooty bar here or there just to be some moral support to my homeys (read: because I can).  Yes, yes, yes you prudes!  My girlfriend was WELL AWARE of my whereabouts so before you hit 'Send' on that FB message, she KNOWS. #Bazinga

Anyway I just have a few observations, concerns, confessions and other random things that come to me as I type this recollections of my rendezvous on Saturday night to celebrate my homey Simone's 23rd bithday.  #Anywaydoe so we arrive at the club and find some seats, this was my first time at this particular establishment (Pigale's) which if you're familiar with Ottawa, is on the Gatineau side.  Let me tell you the schematics of Pigale's its two floors of debauchery with like 3 different stages and cameras showing what you're missing on the other floor so already my head was swiveling.

So we weren't feeling the poor man/underage club section downstairs so we made a beeline for where the real girls were at.. Upstairs! (not like I was excited or pressed or anything....) Once upstairs the swivel was on 360, some real Linda Blair shit!  I couldn't help but notice the amount of women flitting and jiggling back and forth.  Most of the clubs I've been to (sparingly of course) have had 10 girls max on the floor trying to coax (read: thirstily beg) patrons to contribute to their mutual funds, car note, rent (let's keep it 1 Hunnid, you're paying their bills like it or not).

At this point I spot about 3 bad bishes that I would consider making it rain some McDonald's coupons and nickels for (if I were single of course ^_^) this last sentence is further proof of #TheMonetaryStruggle I'm currently enduring.. Anyway the fact that it was only 3 girls who were on BAD BISH STATUS, this meant all the other girls who called themselves working someone's stage and pole. -PAUSE-

READ THE REST OF THE DEBAUCHERY BY CLICKING 'Read More'

Advice:   Please, please, please if you're working at a strip club with a Dunlap (belly dunlapped over your string bikini), have 4 poon juice smeared seats all the way ------>).  I guess some guys like that extra cushion, rolls and folds but me, I'm good.  The most you need to be stripping off is a piece of weave, maybe an earring and toe ring?

Oh, Oh, yall would not believe that sight that arrested my eyes, this was something Chris Hansen from To Catch a Predator and R.Kelly would be ALL OVER (for different reasons of course).  Anyway standing beside me was this little bitty ass, pre-pubescent looking little girl in some too big 13" heels, no chest whatsoever or body that I can report.  Yup, I put that on the God of Shadrack, Meshach and Billy Goat that I just wanted to ask her to have a seat in one of those attached desk/chair seats.  That disturbed me deep down in my appendix man oh wait that was just gas... -poots-

Dear Skrippas, please remember that unless you're auditioning for Julliard or America's Best Dance Crew or the Strip Club Revival of Flashdance, keep those melodramatic, emo ass songs for your bedroom.  Noooooo we don't want to see you strip lazily to Bon Jovi or Queen.  There are way too many Purveyors of the Strip like Akinyele, Uncle Luke, Too Short, E-40, Lil Kim, Ludacris who have a wide array of appropriate rump-shaking songs for you to dance to.  Please watch this to see how it should be done HERE!

This leads me to reporting the girl who clearly had a problem with comprehension and song choice when she was twerking something serious to Keri Hilson's (a beacon of exemplary, fine womanhood btw -coughs) Pretty Girl Rock.  MAM?! WAIT WHAT? Isn't that song a tribute to female strength, empowerment and positive #SelfofSteam?

Keri Hilson had to know the TRUTH about the Bastardization of her song.
Props to the girls who look like they took a pole dancing class or watched a video about the art seduction and how to work a stage and crowd.  The rest of yall doe, please call the ladies over there at Magic City to conduct a workshop/seminar/webcast something!  The fact that you resemble a giraffe in a tree while on a pole while being built like an ATM (next time you see an ATM envision it with some weave, a string bikini and heels).

All in all a very interesting night, with interesting sights, shout out to the strippers who claim they're only stripping to pay their way through school! Mam YOU LIE (c) Joe Wilson voice, but you make more than I see in 2 weeks so PROPS TO YOU!!

Cloud 10's Think Tank (SOUND OFF): The Secret Magic Johnson Has Been Holding Onto..

HIV is cured!!! -does the Brother Franklin and hands out HIV Awareness ribbons-  I know I am very late with this post but it is so refreshing to hear this news.  I have always suspected that the powers that be (governments and more specifically pharmaceutical manufacturers) have been holding on to a cure for HIV for a long time.  HIV has long been a manageable disease that could prolong a person's life for decades if they keep up with the hundreds of dollars they are required to spend monthly on the medication.  Herein, lies the problem, the treatment of diseases is itself a predicament of epic proportions.  It reminds me of this story developed by Lawrence Kohlberg in terms of his 'Stages of Moral Development' theory.  SN We actually learned about this in my Senior Sociological and Rational Causes of Conflict.. -adjusts glasses-

A woman was near death from a special kind of cancer. There was one drug that the doctors thought  might save her. It was a form of radium that a druggist in the same town had recently discovered. The drug was expensive to make, but the druggist was charging ten times what the drug cost him to produce. He paid $200 for the radium and charged $2,000 for a small dose of the drug. The sick woman's husband, Heinz, went to everyone he knew to borrow the money, but he could only get together about $ 1,000, which is half of what it cost. He told the druggist that his wife was dying and asked him to sell it cheaper or let him pay later. But the druggist said, "No, I discovered the drug and I'm going to make money from it." So Heinz got desperate and broke into the man's store to steal the drug for his wife. Should Heinz have broken into the laboratory to steal the drug for his wife? Why or why not? -Kohlberg-

This story is indicative of the pharmaceutical industry; a billion dollar empire in which the patients are strung along so that there is a dependence for life itself in order to keep the need alive for their products.  Morals come into play in so many layered forms in the story above.  Should capitalism and individualism trump collectivism and socialism?  Should we ignore the pharmacists hard work and allow the man to walk away scott free? This the John Q phenomenon in which the ordinary proletariat man takes on the capital machine with guns blazing.  What decisions should be made to benefit one over the group and how should they be distributed?

What would you have done if you were the man trying to save his wife?  In terms of HIV and its cure, its a disease only those in the upper crust of society can afford to have and even be cured of...Magic Johnson anyone?  Not to say that Magic is cured but he looks awesome for someone who got diagnosed (along with his wife) over 20 years ago.  I'm not a conspiracy theorist, just a hardened realist that calls it like I see it.  The fact that, the most expensive diseases to treat are the ones that have taken the longest for researchers around the globe to discover a cure to, is very suspicious to me.  One can not help to see a connection to capitalism and Marxism in how drugs are developed to not cure but manage in most cases.  We're very industrious and smart people and its just very strange to see how we've been duped for so many years with so many incurable diseases.  This story highlights the need for more pressure to be put on to researchers who are often able to spew some cleverly crafted statistics and hoodwink us into years of financial hardships.

Read the actual cure story over HERE!!

Cloud 10's Think Tank (SOUND OFF): Dr. Dre's Detox...DO WE CARE STILL?

In what  has to be Hip-Hop's most criminally delayed album in history, Dr. Dre has more release dates than Nicole Scherzinger's solo album...PAUSE and yall know that jawn had a lot of release dates.  I mean Dre was meaning to drop Detox back in 2004, but he stopped working on it to produce for artists like Eminem and 50 Cent.  Thank you for some nice tracks and albums from 50 Cent and Eminem but Dre you need to dig in your backyard for that selfishness you obviously buried years ago.   There is no reason for Soulja Boy to be dropping yet ANOTHER album and dude's like Gucci Mane and Waka Flocka to 'dominate' Hip Hop.  I mean for real Dre you just gonna pub some overpriced Beats by Dr. Dre earphones but we can't even get a solid and decent single with some promotion behind it from 'Detox'?   Every rapper in the world has spoken for Detox and Dre and promised that not only had they worked on it soon but that it would be out soon.  Erm we've been hearing that since 2004.   I mean I read that another release date has been set for December 2010 with the first single being 'Under Pressure' featuring Jay-Z.   I won't lie I'm not even that excited anymore and I feel like Dre has been making excuses and relying on the 'perfectionist' argument for way too long.  I feel like he doesn't even believe in himself nor his skills anymore.  7 years man we had to endure the Waka Flocka's, Gucci Mane's, Soulja Coke Boy and The New Boyz singing about jerking when this fool could've hit us with some now, up for debate...REAL MUSIC??

Hmmmm DO WE STILL CARE??

Cloud 10's Think Tank (SOUND OFF): Falling In Love Costs You Friends

I've always held this impression about most people in relationships and the way they often lose themselves so much that by the time the condom rappers fall and the weight piles on they are usually wondering where all of their friends went.  It is interesting to see some quantitative that backs up my outlook.  I have had a ton of friends who have been so absorbed in their new partners coochie/penis that they forgot what the word friend even meant.  The funny thing is most friends notice the shift in your absence, the way you become more distant, your refusal to make or follow through on plans.  After a while most friends will just write you off as being pussy whipped or dickmatized and keep it moving.  Anyway let me know what you guys think!!

"Falling in love comes at the cost of losing two close friends, a study says.
We probably all know that a passionate new relationship can leave you little time for others, but now science has put some numbers on the observation.
Oxford University researchers asked people about their inner core of friendships and how this number changed when romance entered the equation.
They found the core, which numbers about five people, dropped by two as a new lover came to dominate daily life.

"People who are in romantic relationships - instead of having the typical five [individuals] on average, they only have four in that circle," explained Robin Dunbar, a professor of evolutionary anthropology at Oxford.
"And bearing in mind that one of those is the new person that's come into your life, it means you've had to give up two others."
The research, which has only recently been submitted for publication, was presented to the British Science Festival at Aston University.
Professor Dunbar's group studies social networks and how we manage their size and composition.
He has previously shown that the maximum number of friends it is realistically possible to engage is about 150. On the social networking site Facebook, for example, people will typically have 120-130 friends.
This number can be divided into progressively smaller groups, with an inner clique numbering between four and six.
These are people who we see at least once a week; people we go to at moments of crisis. The next layer out are the people we see about once a month - the "sympathy group". They are all the people who, if they died tomorrow, we would miss and be upset about.

In the latest study, the team questioned 540 participants, aged 18 and over, about their relationships and the strain those relationships came under when a new romantic engagement was started.
The results confirmed the widely held view that love can lead to a smaller support network, with typically one family member and one friend being pushed out to accommodate the new lover.
"The intimacy of a relationship - your emotional engagement with it - correlates very tightly with the frequency of your interactions with those individuals," observed Professor Dunbar.

"If you don't see people, the emotional engagement starts to drop off, and quickly.
"What I suspect happens is that your attention is so wholly focussed on your romantic partner that you just don't get to see the other folks you have a lot to do with, and therefore some of those relationships just start to deteriorate and drop down into the layer below."

Shout out to BBC and my boy Santino for the article!!

Cloud 10's Think Tank |SOUND OFF|: The Black Woman: Her Attitude

So if you have me as a friend on Facebook you've probably seen my status about the negative perceptions many outsiders and individuals from our own race have as it relates to the attitudes of black women.  Time and time again I sit with my non-black friends and I hear them say "Oh, I think some black girls are hot but I can't deal with all that attitude and sass." What does that mean though?  I fail to understand how you can allow women of other races to slide with their bitchy, atrocious attitudes but when a black women is outspoken or dare I say a bitch she is automatically undesirable.  I find it so ironic that I can sit down and list countless women of every race that I have met here in Canada with the ugliest attitudes but those women are never labelled as a whole.  They are derided as individuals and all the other women in their respective groups are viewed with an individual lense.  It seems to me that only black women as a whole bear the burden of this negative stigma that can be attributed to a select few.

On my Facebook status I stated that "Its amazing how so many people are quick to label ALL black women of having 'too much attitude'. Have you ever thought that SOME black women may have a tough attitude because they have endured decades of silence and oppression? Please re-evaluate your existence before spewing ignorance and prejudice!

Click 'Read More' to See the rest of my argument!

I stand strong by my previous statement because I feel like history has had a role in shaping the lives of many black women who not only have to contend with negative perceptions and stereotypes about them.  They also have to overcome the burdens of being a woman of color in a society that has generally favored lighter skinned women and championed women of other races.   I would have an attitude too if everyday I had to fight for equality, attention, respect and other opportunities.  I would have developed a tough exterior also.  I am not excusing the ugly attitudes that some women possess I am just acknowledging the fact that I can understand why sometimes black women may feel a need to be even more on their toes.  They are fighting a battle where black men and the media in general have felt a need to analyze why they are still single and not able to find husbands at the rate of their counterparts.  Why is this?

If you do not agree with me feel free to disagree, but please provide me valid arguments and examples.  If you are generalizing your statements then please stop.  Generalizations lead to assumptions, assumptions lead to stereotypes and streotypes lead to prejudice which in turn leads to racism.   I will entertain your generalized argument when you have met every single black woman on the face of this Earth to ascertain whether or not her attitude is too sassy or good enough for you.

Cloud 10's Think Tank (SOUND OFF) The Case of the Ex (Sweetheart vs The Jerk)

I know we have been talking about this issue for a while now, this phenomenon of good guys finishing last.  Well me and my boy up and coming reggae singer/songwriter Conkarah have decided to dedicate a piece to explore this phenomenon.  Before I delve into the piece I would just like to state that I know that NOT EVERY GIRL IS LIKE THIS!! But there are a lot of girls who claim they are good girls that have no clue what to do with a 'good guy' once she gets him after all the hollering and posturing for one.  We shall break this phenomenon down and you can choose to either agree or disagree with us just know that we are not lying.  I have experienced this for myself, observed it in others and so has Conkarah.

I'm sure you have all heard it, seen it, experienced it, but can't understand it. I'm almost certain most girls can't even understand or explain it themselves right off the bat. Why do girls like bad boys?

The Jerk vs the Sweetheart.

Typical "sweetheart" good guy, whatever de rass yuh wah call it.  Alright so you go to a club and you see beautiful girls all over the place but there is one girl who is absolutely stunning and you would give your right testicle for a chance with her. You know you want her, but instead of approaching her you stand across the room pretty much melting just by looking at her.  But here's the thing, she doesn't know you exist and probably never will, the typical sweetheart is shy, and has a low self-esteem in the sense of being rejected, because in reality who wants to be rejected right?

It'll just fuck with your confidence royally but au contraire this is where the jerk comes in with his mentality being; I don't give a fuck about anyone but myself and satisfying myself. He is so fixated on himself and whats he wants that rejection is not in his vocabulary. Now here's the thing, having no fear of rejection is the ultimate ingredient for being a jerk, bad boy/ asshole etc; and with this you have the upperhand, so ok if u dont fear rejection then im guessing you are confident enough to go up to a girl and within 2 minutes if she hasnt splashed u in the face with her drink, she knows your intention.... to fuck... then its up to her to sen on the pum pum (pussy) or not... so lets say she doesnt... the jerk doesnt care... he'll probably GENUINELY think to himself that something is wrong with her, because who could pass up THIS right?

So what does he do? He moves on to the next girl.  Truth is, the girl who just said no probably subconsciously regrets not saying yes, because now she is realizing she never meant that much to him, this is all a maybe!  Ok so now lets say this girl who rejected him comes up to him later and takes him away from the other 13 girls he's chatting up and kind of "apologizes" through a lil flirting.  Lets just say hypothetically they go home and fuck... once.... twcie three times... then he leaves...shes like WHISKY TANGO FOXTROT? Kind of craving the attention especially if shes used to having guys all over her 24/7 this isnt right, fucking with her self esteem.  The worst part about this is the jerk is not even trying to do this to her it just comes naturally.

So lets skip the boring shit, basically now she is with the bad boy... and he disses her treats her like crap etc etc.  But hey she now has purpose she is going to be the one to change him to the sweetheart and BAM, the party begins.  The more she tries the more she fails, the less she tries the more she fails. So this JERK has her in his fingertips. If he hasnt already, he could have a foursome infront of her with her mom, best friend and twin sister and chances are, she'd be steaming mad but in 2 days she wouldd put it behind her and try to CHANGE him.  We all know how this beaten dead horse of a story turns out.

Moral of the Story
Girls (I stress GIRLS) in relationships with sweetguys and sweethearts get bored really easily DEPENDING on their maturity because if the guy is already sweet/ perfect then what is there to change? So she picks fights, argues over NOTHING, anything she can find to argue about to knd of cause issues in the relationship to kind of spark it up a bit.  Deep down inside shes wishing she is with a bad boy, she would never tell the sweet guy though she is too busy pretending and convincing herself that she wholeheartedly wants to embrace this new breed of man she is dating.  A guy who never cheats on her, does the sweet guy shit with her, takes her out, the guy whose fuck ups are pale in comparison to the guys she has dated.  the jerk vs. sweetheart.  I think a lot of this has to do with maturity honestly, its crazy when girls who are over 24 are still struggling with this phenomenon.  Most of these girls do 'mature' woman things but are still little girls in the head.  These are the women who are not thinking about the long-term.  They are stuck in the present and are searching for thrills.

If being a GOOD GUY means coming last in the rabbit race, the game of life is like the tortoise race for the GOOD GUY he's gonna finish on top..
