Well Hollywood's biggest night that is The Academy Awards is officially over and it was entertaining as usual Twittering and Facebooking the event with all my peeps! We held it down and big shout out to everyone who added their .2 .5. .10 and .75 cents worth of opinions and comments. The ladies were stunning as usual and the fellas held the suit games down. I saw a few suits that I would gladly take off of several of those guys' hands (Anthony Mackie, Gerard Butler, Tyler Perry). Big congrats are in order for the entire cast of Precious and Best Supporting Actress winner Mo'Nique. Precious also won for best Screenplay (the first time an African-American has won the prestigious writing award). I remember when I first saw the trailer for Precious and I blogged about it HERE back when the movie was still called 'Push' and I saw that special spark from the actors then. It wasn't surprising then over the past year to see the acclaim everyone involved has thus received. Man I remember Mo'Nique as Nikki Parker on UPN and being an Original Queen of Comedy now she is in the big leagues with the likes of Whoopi Goldberg, Meryl Streep and other Academy Award winners. Special kudos to James Cameron for making the epic movie that was 'Avatar' although he lost Best Picture to his ex-wife Katherine Bigelow (Hurt Locker) I still thought Avatar should have won.
Thanks to Gabby Sidibe (Precious) who unfortunately lost in the Best Actress category to Sandra Bullock (The Blind Side) for the nights most memorable quote that was re-tweeted throughout the night!
"If fashion was porn this dress would be the money shot"
