Did you know that Tommie Smith and John Carlos in the 1968 Olympics rocked some pumas?They took of their shoes when receiving their awards to represent black poverty. I go to school at San Jose University on the West Coast and I ran into the huge statues and realized what shoes they were actually wearing when they made history!
